Reproduction is one of the features of all things living. In purely biological terms, we, like all other living things, live to pass on our genes and ensure our species' survival. And nature has come up with quite a few tricks where reproduction is concerned: some organisms simply divide themselves, others have to spend years attracting a mate, and others do not even survive reproduction. This film uses examples from the animal and plant world to give a brief overview of the different types of reproduction. The topics include sexual and asexual reproduction, division, searching for a partner, internal and external fertilization, and genetic variation.
