Impressionism

Order-No. 3840

Department:
  • Art

Year of production: 2015
Duration: 03:54 minutes

"Impressionism is an art movement that was established by French painters in the second half of the 19th century. The term is derived from the Latin word ""impressio"", which describes an instantaneous, immediate impression of what is seen.
Instead of the strict line and the elaborate compositions of classicism, the Impressionists chose volatile, fast brushstrokes and aggregations of single color dots. In this video the most important artists of the movement, their works and their radical new approach are introduced."
