This film introduces the element aluminum. With a density of around 2.7 g/cm³, aluminum is a light metal. It it the third most common element in the Earth's crust. This silvery-grey shiny metal is very soft and durable and is therefore very suitable for rolling into thin sheets and foils. Aluminum also has a relatively low melting point which makes it an excellent construction material. Aluminum also has a very good electrical conductivity and is therefore often used in electrical engineering.
